MEM revision – input needed!

Nov 9, 2016

Manipulation Education Manual (MEM) revision – input needed

In 2004 a Manipulation Education Manual was developed to support the ongoing efforts in physical therapist education programs to provide appropriate, evidence-based instruction in thrust manipulation. Developed and published as a collaborative-effort among the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT), the Orthopaedic and Education Sections of APTA, and the APTA Manipulation Task Force, the MEM was designed to provide a rich set of resource information to assist PT programs in curriculum assessment and development in this area.

Now 13 years old, the time has come to update and revise the MEM. However before work begins, input on your program’s use and experience with the MEM is being solicited by the workgroup tasked with revising the MEM.  The following internet  link will take you to a quick online survey that will help guide the work revising the Manipulation Education Manual.  Please share this link with the most appropriate person in your program to respond to the survey.  Please ensure that only one response is provided by each program.  Thank you for your assistance.  Go to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ManipulationEdManual
