Submit your application for a grant related to Humanities, Ethics, or Professionalism

Nov 6, 2017

The Consortium of Humanities, Ethics, and Professionalism advocates for the importance of the humanities, ethics, and professionalism in academic physical therapy research, education, and practice because excellence in clinical practice requires the ability to make a meaningful connection with the patient and make decisions in uncertain circumstances. We also support the mission and strategic plan of the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy to serve and lead academic physical therapy by promoting excellence in education, scholarship and research, practice, and service to improve the health and wellness of society, as well as 1) explore and create best practice standards in academic physical therapy and 2) identifying and cultivating resources to achieve excellence in academic physical therapy respectively. As such, the Consortium for Humanities, Ethics, and Professionalism created the Consortium for Humanities, Ethics and Professionalism Grant. The purpose of this award is to support novel research, education, or practice opportunities that aim to foster the integration of the Humanities, Ethics, and/or Professionalism into physical therapy education.
