The Benchmarks for Excellence Task Force of ACAPT has developed a tool to gather, analyze, and disseminate program assessment data to improve program quality and student learning. Using the Engagement Theory of Program Quality, a framework that incorporates student experiences and outcomes, a survey was created that aligns with the Elements of Academic PT Excellence. The survey instrument and the accompanying portal provide a mechanism for each program to identify benchmarks for excellence in PT education.
