NCCE 2022 Events Sponsorship

When:

Who?

  • The National Consortium of Clinical Educators (NCCE) engages academic and clinical educators through partnerships to advance excellence and innovation in physical therapist education. The NCCE represents clinical education faculty (academic and clinical) affiliated with entry-level programs that are ACAPT member institutions who serve in clinical education roles.
  • Each ACAPT member institution supports the participation of one clinical education team - the NCCE Academic & Clinical Institutional Pair - consisting of at least one academic faculty member and one clinical education affiliate directly involved with the member institution's clinical education program.

What, when and where?

  • The National Consortium of Clinical Educators Roadshow (NCCE will be facilitating 1 in Nov, 2022)
    • This ‘live’ and innovative Continuing Education opportunity brings the national organization to a regional clinical education consortium to explore and enhance local/regional communications and increase perceptions of connectivity between local/regional and national stakeholders. Regional-national connectivity will begin the development of a more formalized national clinical education network.  An anticipated 50-100 participants from each consortium; comprised of leaders in clinical education from both the clinical sites and academic PT programs of each region will attend.
  • Resource sharing webinars (NCCE will be hosting 6 in 2022):
    • In these free midday meetings, NCCE highlights its members as they share and discuss innovative resources that they are using in their clinical education programs. Usually, 50-100 clinical education stakeholders join for these live mini-presentation style webinars with 100s of views of the recordings posted to our YouTube channel. Proposed topics:
      • Innovations in Integrated Clinical Education (ICE)
      • Train the CI
      • Communication between institutions
      • Building new partnerships
      • Full-time student readiness
      • Residency creation & execution
  • NCCE Overview of the national, regional and local organizations with an interest in PT clinical education and their initiatives and resources. Prerecorded Module (Quantity 1):
    • Clinical education stakeholders can immerse themselves in this pre-recorded content to best understand the national organizations (APTA, Academy of Education and ACAPT) and their collaborative efforts and resources for advancing excellence in PT clinical education. Regional consortia and local academic programs and clinic sites are also discussed to provide a vision for development of an interconnected, national network inclusive of all clinical education stakeholders. This module will be available to ACAPT members and non-members and will be a required pre-requisite for individuals participating in the NCCE Roadshow.
  • Annual NCCE Regional Networking Meeting (Live meeting at ELC 2022)
    • A robust live annual meeting marketed to the membership of all 23 regional clinical education consortia. This well-attended meeting brings leaders in clinical education into one networking space to discuss best practices and generate innovative ideas related to the session’s theme. Past topics have included academic-clinical partnerships, creating a communication network, and advancing clinical teaching across the continuum of learning.  National representation from both the academic and clinical worlds brings perspectives from multiple stakeholders that the NCCE uses to drive future initiatives.
  • Annual NCCE Business Meeting (Live meeting at ELC 2022)
    • This two-hour annual membership meeting brings together academic and clinical educators to share updates on current initiatives, recognize member contributions and accomplishments, discuss relevant issues, and brainstorm innovations in the pursuit of excellence in PT clinical education. This well-attended meeting attracts NCCE members and non-member clinical education stakeholders (usual attendance is between 200-300 participants).
