The Nuts & Bolts of Implementing a Lab Immersion Webinar - free recording

Jun 22, 2020

To help physical therapy education programs collectively innovate, share, and implement best-practice teaching methods that meet our students' educational needs during the pandemic climate, ACAPT offered this free webinar:  Lessons from the Trenches: The Nuts & Bolts of Implementing a Lab Immersion.

Description: Physical therapy faculty are finding themselves navigating curricular challenges in the current COVID-19 environment.  Every program is being stretched to explore alternative modes of content delivery and assessment, with most incorporating hybrid andragogical models. While online coursework continues, there remains the challenge of delivering laboratory experiences to “catch up” and complete didactic courses once face-to-face classroom instruction safely resumes.

THANK YOU to Dr. Casey UnverzagtDr. Brian Young and Dr. Kendra Gagnon, who shared the nuts and bolts of hybrid learning and immersive lab instruction developed by the Baylor University DPT Program.  They also shared lessons from the battlefield in specific courses (e.g. musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, etc.) and answered questions.  Big thanks to Director of the Baylor University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Michael Walker, who organized this event.

  • Intended Audience: PT and PTA Faculty
  • Fee: Free for ACAPT members and non-members
  • CEU: none
