Promoting Excellence in Academic Physical Therapy

Who is The American Council of Academic Physical Therapy?

The American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT) is a component of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), originally created as a subgroup by the APTA board of directors in August 2010, then renamed ACAPT, during the 2013 House of Delegates.

The core purpose of ACAPT is to lead physical therapy in the pursuit of academic excellence. 

Mission: ACAPT member institutions are champions of innovation, inclusion and inquiry in academic physical therapy.
