Simulation Committee

Purpose

The Simulation Committee guides and supports the development, refinement, and evaluation of ACAPT’s simulation-related programs and resources, including the Simulation Library and SITReP, ensuring they remain relevant, high-quality, and responsive to the needs of academic physical therapy education.

Committee Responsibilities

The Simulation Committee is responsible for the following:

  • Provide guidance and input on the development, refinement, and evaluation of ACAPT’s simulation-related programs and resources, including SITReP and the Simulation Library.
  • Identify priorities, emerging needs, and opportunities related to simulation-based education in academic physical therapy.
  • Support continuous improvement of simulation initiatives through review of outcomes, feedback, and data, in collaboration with ACAPT staff.
  • Establish and support subcommittees or working groups, as needed, to advance specific areas of work (e.g., SITReP).
  • Foster communication and collaboration across simulation-related initiatives within ACAPT, as appropriate.
  • Contribute to documentation, reflection, and reporting related to committee activities and outcomes.
  • Work in collaboration with the Simulation Special Interest group within APTA Academy of Education (AoE)
