The Faculty Multiplier: Building a More Reliable AI Tutor You Can Use on Monday

Aug 10, 2026

Learn how to transform a short reading or other course material into a more reliable LLM tutor for your students. During this hands-on 90-minute session, you’ll build and test a tutor for your own content, then prepare a student-ready version for a demo.

No coding or advanced AI experience is required.

You’ll discover how to:

  • Uncover the common wrong turns students make, and what they must demonstrate before your tutor recognizes success
  • Ground your tutor in an approved source and establish clear boundaries, when and how to give hints, and progress questions
  • Test how the tutor responds when a learner is partially correct, asks for the answer, goes off-topic, or indicates understanding prematurely
  • Decide whether your tutor is ready to use with students or needs some revision

Date: Tuesday, September 15, 2026

Time: 6:00 pm EST

Location: Virtual/Zoom

Bring a short resource from your course and a learning challenge you'd like your students to practice. You’ll leave with a customized tutor.
