Meeting Minutes

At least once a year an Annual Meeting shall be held for the purpose of conducting the Council's business and other activities in accordance with the Purpose and Objectives of the Council, including:

  • Amend, suspend, or rescind the standing rules;
  • Enact and, where appropriate, enforce policies of the Council;
  • Approve all resolutions and opinions in the name of the Council;
  • Reverse or modify decisions of the Council's Board of Directors.

    Definitions

    Voting Members
    Representatives of institutions are the voting members at the Annual Meeting.

    Quorum
    A quorum shall consist of a majority of the total number of members.

    Minutes
    All meeting minutes shall be submitted to all members of the Council as well as the Association within 45 days of the date of the meeting.

    Presiding Officer
    The presiding officer at the first Annual Meeting shall be an individual designated by the APTA from among the members of the Academic Administrators Governance Workgroup.
