Follow admissions traffic rules

Nov 6, 2023

To improve the efficiency of admissions, ACAPT members approved updated traffic rules in October 2020.  Please be sure your institution adheres to these rules.

Your colleagues established the rules below to allow for an orderly and professional admission process that seeks transparency and equity for students and programs.

The profession wants to encourage applicants to explore their options without undue pressure to lock-in to a program as quickly as possible.  Instead, students should seek to find the best program fit before they submit their deposit and final decision.

We encourage you to adhere to the spirit of the rules & not look for convenient loopholes.  When your program abides by the guidelines, all students, programs & the profession benefit.
