The profession wants to encourage applicants to explore their options without undue pressure to lock-in to a program as quickly as possible. Instead, students should seek to find the best program fit before they submit their deposit and final decision.
We encourage you to adhere to the spirit of the rules & not look for convenient loopholes. When your program abides by the guidelines, all students, programs & the profession benefit.

NOTE: ACAPT encourages institutions to acknowledge applicant efforts and mastery of course content by not penalizing applicants in the admissions process who have repeated courses and accepting an applicant’s highest grade achieved for a given course.
