ACAPT is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Sarah Keller, PT, DPT, NCS, a dedicated member of the physical therapy education profession. Dr. Keller was a new and enthusiastic member of our Education Planning & Innovation Committee (EPIC), where her contributions directly led to educational and networking opportunities for ACAPT’s members and physical therapy educators.
Beyond her contributions to ACAPT, Dr. Keller was a beloved colleague and friend. She was a tenured professor of physical therapy at Midwestern University College of Health Sciences – Downers Grove Illinois. She also worked a couple of times a month as a physical therapist at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital. Her clinical specialties were in neurology and she was also a member of the APTA Academy of Education, Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy, and APTA Academy of Leadership and Innovation. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University in 2007.
