Artificial intelligence in health care

Sep 13, 2021

The ACAPT Consortium for Humanities, Ethics & Professionalism (CHEP) leadership has had discussions about the ethics of advances in technology. There are some concerns that artificial intelligence (AI) may take some of the humanity out of health care and reinforce some of the inequities that already exist.

On the other hand, AI and other technology offer some exciting opportunities for PT too.

Are any PT faculty talking to DPT students about tech & ethics issues? If not, do you think we should we be talking about this with students?

Let us know at chep@acapt.org, acapt@acapt.org or on ACAPT's Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn pages.

Below are sample AI articles an article and a TEDx talk about technology and ethics.
