Expressing gratitude to ACAPT staff

Dec 18, 2023

As we approach the end of a transformative year, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude ACAPT’s staff. The unwavering dedication and resilience of Eleanor Trice, Jennifer Davis, and Robin Williamson have been the driving force behind our collective success.

Behind what you see in our annual report, there is a small team of people working hard to establish better systems to improve member experiences, implementing strategies to support an organizational structure that reflects our mission and vision, increasing engagement with the many stakeholders that make up academic physical therapy, working collaboratively with nearly 200 volunteers to deliver needed products and services, and responding to new ideas and solutions in an ever-changing environment.

In the tapestry of ACAPT’s success, there’s a thread of excellence woven by one remarkable individual—Eleanor Trice. This week, as we bid her a fond farewell into the realm of retirement, we reflect on the profound impact she has had, particularly through her work with marketing, communications, and development of our Center for Excellence.  Her analytical acumen has transformed raw data into meaningful narratives, providing us with valuable perspectives.  Eleanor has been ACAPT’s storyteller, data interpreter, and a catalyst for positive change within our association. We extend our heartfelt thanks for her dedication and wish her a retirement filled with the joy and fulfillment she has brought to our association.

Simultaneously, we welcome a data analyst, Neil Hurwitz, a strategic partnerships lead, Adrian Morton, and a marketing and communications specialist, Emily Weber to our team, bringing fresh perspectives, talents, and energy. I am excited about the wealth of experience and innovation they bring to our association, and I look forward to the positive impact they will undoubtedly make.

Finally, I wish to express my gratitude for our member solutions strategist, Robin Williamson, and our education and events planner, Jennifer Davis.  Robin has spearheaded the transition to a new member database while Jennifer has orchestrated the development of our learning management system, both of which will launch in early 2024.  You may have seen them at ELC quietly behind the scenes, always with a smile and warm offers of assistance.  They evoke the spirit of unity of purpose, selflessness, dedication, and strategic thinking that every employer desires.

I am grateful to serve alongside these exceptional individuals.  Robin, Jennifer, Neil, Adrian, Emily and I look forward to working with you in 2024.  Until then, I wish you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season and a well-deserved break.
