Student Barriers to PNE

Student Barriers to PNE Survey

Rationale for survey:

We are conducting a study about barriers students face in implementing pain neuroscience education (PNE) in their clinical practice. Current evidence supports the use of PNE when used in conjunction with traditional physical therapy; however, little is known about how much PNE is incorporated into the physical therapy curriculum and if students then take that knowledge into their clinical practice. Therefore, the purpose of this research project is to survey physical therapy students about their exposure to PNE in physical therapy school and to determine if they use it in the clinic, and if now, what are the barriers stopping them from doing so.

Description of research project:

This is an anonymous survey that will collect information from physical therapy students regarding their practice patterns as it relates to PNE. No identifying information will be collected.

Qualifications:
Participants must be enrolled in an accredited physical therapy program.
