Save the dates/times for ACAPT events at CSM, including

  • ACAPT will hold a Roundtable Liaison Meeting during CSM on Wednesday, Februrary 12, 2020 from 5:00 -7:00 pm. This annual meeting is your opportunity to share your feedback and priority issues with the ACAPT board.  We look forward to seeing you there!

  • The National Consortium of Clinical Education (NCCE) will hold an Open Forum on Wednesday, February 12 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm to discuss follow up from the Payment for Clinical Experience Task Force final report. The Common Terminology and Placement Process Task Forces are working collaboratively with the Clinical Education (CE) SIG and will provide updates at the CE-SIG meeting on Thursday, February 13 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

  • Interested in education research?  Join ACAPT leaders & members in the Education Research Network (ERN) Roundtable & Reception on Saturday, February 15 at 5:00 - 6:30 pm. There will a cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres served.  

    In addition to networking with leading PT education researchers, attendees will review and discuss research questions developed by the Education Leadership Partnership’s (ELP) Research Panel for Outcomes-based Education Strategies and explore opportunities that exist for competency-based physical therapy education (CBPTE) in our profession’s future.
  • ACAPT's Clinical Reasoning & Curricula Assessment Consortium (CRCAC) and the Education & Pedagogy Consortium, as well as APTE's Scholarship of Education Speical Interest Group (SIG) are planning a SIG Sortium: Building Connections meeting on Saturday, February 15 from 6:30 - 7:30 am.  The group will be exploring their identities as individual groups (SIG, consortia) and then working together in small groups to explore topics relevant to all groups. Within the small group discussions, participants will be encouraged to examine how the perspective of each group influences what we can bring to the topic. Come to network and expand your understanding of education, clinical reasoning, and educational research.
  • ACAPT is hosting a "Reaching the Summit" free event for PT students and early career professionals.  Leaders in academia, clinical practice and professional associations will share how they reached their goals and planned future goals.  Space is limited to the first 200 people on February 13 from 8:00 - 10:00 pm at Revel Social, 2229 Blake Street, #104. Free food and drink tickets will be available.

  • ACAPT's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Consortium also recommends these diversity-related sessions at the upcoming CSM in February.
